For organizations
For the people who help others decide.
SBA resource centers, lenders, schools and libraries sit with people weighing a business. smbnest gives each of them the same self-assessment: the fit test, 155 business models with their numbers and sources, the tools, and a launch plan they work through. When they choose to, they can share that plan with you.
Who a pilot is for
- Small Business Development Centers, SCORE chapters and Women’s Business Centers
- Lenders and community development lenders who meet people before they apply
- Colleges, workforce and entrepreneurship programs
- Public libraries with small business services
What a pilot looks like
- We agree a group, a length (usually 90 days) and a price for the group.
- Each person in it gets a membership: every full model and the launch plans they work and keep.
- Each person can make a read-only link to their plan for you: the steps, their numbers, what they found and their vendor picks. They choose who gets it, and they can end it at any time.
- We check in with you at 30 and 90 days on what helped and what did not.
What stays true
- smbnest is a self-assessment tool. It does not tell anyone what to buy, borrow, charge or choose, and that does not change for a group.
- A person’s plan is seen only by the people they share it with, and only until they end the link.
- Nothing a person shares is used for a credit decision unless they have agreed to that with the lender directly.
- No organization pays to rank, steer or feature anything on the site.
